About Cosine Astro
Cosine is a mathematical idea: the closer two directions are, the closer their cosine gets to 1. We like the metaphor. Everyone's stars are different, yet any two people still line up on some coordinates.
What we do
Cosine Astro brings two things together: a carefully calculated birth chart, and a reader you can keep asking questions. Your chart is computed from astronomical ephemeris data for the exact minute and coordinates of your birth. The method, and how we check it, are written up in How We Calculate. The reading is left to the AI, but it can only answer from the calculated data, and it names the placement behind every point it makes.
How we see astrology
We treat astrology as a language for understanding yourself and your relationships, not as prophecy. So we don't predict specific events or timing, we don't say anything is "meant to be," and we don't offer medical, psychological, legal or investment judgments. What a chart can do is give you a new angle on your own habits, needs and contradictions.
Your data
You can make a chart without signing in, and your birth details stay in your browser. If you sign in, your charts and conversations are saved to your account. You can delete a single chart or conversation at any time, or delete your account to erase everything. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
