Chart archetypes

A chart archetype is the dominant tone of the whole birth chart. The program adds up the elements (fire, earth, air, water) and modalities (cardinal, fixed, mutable) of the signs your Sun, Moon, Ascendant and planets are in; the leading element and the leading modality make your archetype. The Sun, Moon and Ascendant count 2 points each, the other planets and the Midheaven 1 each.

So it isn't your Sun sign: someone with a Taurus Sun can be The Guardian because their Moon, Ascendant and several planets are in water signs. Each archetype shares the quality of one sign, but it describes the leaning of your whole chart. It only says which energies the chart has most of. It isn't a personality test and it doesn't foretell anything; people change with what they live through.
