Without signing in

If you don't sign in, the name, birth date, time and place you enter are stored only in the browser you're using. Your chart is calculated in your browser, and this step doesn't send your birth details to us.

What we store when you sign in

Signing in only takes an email address: we send it a 6-digit code, and there's no password. Once you sign in, the following is stored in our database so you can pick up on any device: your email address; the charts you save (name, birth date, time, place and coordinates); and your conversations with the AI (questions and answers). The database is hosted by Neon, on servers in Singapore. You stay signed in for 30 days.

What's sent when you ask the AI

To generate an answer, when you ask a question our server forwards the following, via OpenRouter, to the provider hosting the DeepSeek model: your birth date, time, place and coordinates; your question; and the earlier questions and answers in that conversation. Your name and email address are not sent.

We require OpenRouter to send requests only to providers that don't retain the data or use it to train models. These providers may be located outside China, and their own privacy policies apply to how they handle the data.

Sign-in code emails

Sign-in code emails are sent through Resend, which handles your email address in the process.

Searching for your birthplace

On English pages, or when a place isn't in our built-in city list, our server forwards the place name you type to Open-Meteo's geocoding service to find the city's coordinates and time zone. Your IP address and other information are not sent along with it.

Preventing abuse

To limit excessive questions and code requests, our server keeps counts per account, email address and IP address. In these counts, email addresses and IPs are stored only as irreversible hashes, which are deleted automatically within two days. Sign-in records do not store IP addresses.

Hosting and analytics

This site is hosted on Vercel. As with most websites, the hosting provider keeps basic access logs under its own policies.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits, such as which pages are opened, which country visitors come from and what devices they use. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't record information that could identify you personally.

Deleting your data

In "My Charts" you can delete any chart along with its conversations, and in the conversation history you can delete a single conversation. On the "My Charts" page, choose "Delete account" and your account, all your charts and all your conversations are permanently deleted right away.

If you're not signed in, choose "Clear saved details" on the birth details page, or clear this site's data in your browser settings, to delete the birth details stored on your device.
